Each year in May, the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County recognizes the national celebration of “Be Kind to Animals Week” by hosting a mini walk-a-thon known as Stroll for Strays. The event is the Shelter’s major fundraiser with all monies going toward the care of the animals in the Animal Welfare League Animal shelter.

The date for this year's event is Sunday, May 2, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Hoover Field. You can upload a donation form below to start getting donations for the stroll. Prizes will be given out to those individuals witht he biggest donations!

As always the AWL will bring dogs that are available for adoption so they can be walked. This is always a big day for them and they're very tired when it's time to go back to the shelter!

Last year the donations and event sponsorships added up to approximately $7,500. This year we're looking to raise $10,000. It's a lofty goal, but we think with community support we can do it!
